Time Out

Mother Earth put us in “time out”. For our own sake, she stopped us. Nowhere to go, no distraction. Nothing superfluous to buy, no big deals to make. Nothing to show on the catwalk of life. No fancy holidays, no selfies in fake paradise.

Day and night, night and day. Nowhere to go, we start to observe. To be aware. Nowhere to go, we see our own shadow as the light moves.

Some forgotten abilities flourish, Poisoned seeds that we planted show their bitter taste. It is time to face our deepest wounds. We may feel sadness and grief for our ignorance, our selfishness. We are not alone. Our heart remembers us to embrace all with compassion. Compassion for ourselves, for our blindness, and for others’.

Welcome all, because there are no wrong feelings. But there may be wrong actions. If we do not change from within, we will repeat the same over and over again and arrive at dead ends. Moving to the heart is the way out. From the inside out.
